We're so glad that you’re interested in learning more about Chinatown Citizenship! At Chinatown Citizenship, we help Chinese immigrants in the Boston area learn English and civics and prepare for their naturalization tests to become U.S. citizens. We have many different classes, and our four main classes: Citizenship English, N-400 and 53 Questions, US History and 100 Civics Questions, Mock Interview, have curriculum already provided. Additionally, you can create your own curriculum and teach whatever you wish! At CCit, in addition to learning and teaching opportunities, you’ll join a super warm and welcoming community of tutors. We’ll hold weekly post-class reflections and socials throughout the semester. But the highlight is definitely spending time with the sweet, kind, and funny learners who come to class.

After you submit your application, we’ll reach out to schedule an interview that will mainly cover interest in our program and level preferences. Just to reiterate: The Chinese-speaking ability required of tutors varies per class level, from high ability to none, but Chinese-speaking ability is NOT required to be a tutor! We look forward to hearing from you soon!
